So is the way it fits.
Choose the visible canvas size first, then the way it will be stretched or framed. A frame adds to the overall width and height; packaging dimensions are different again.
Stretched canvas
The canvas is mounted on wooden stretcher bars. Choose studio assembly or an available DIY kit on the product.
Framed painting
Choose an available outer frame. The product preview shows its approximate appearance and calculated overall dimensions.
Measure the space,
then compare.
- Measure the usable wall width and height.
- Mark the proposed visible canvas dimensions with removable tape.
- Allow space for the frame and nearby furniture.
- Check how the size looks from your normal viewing distance.
A room preview helps you compare sizes. Its accuracy depends on the scene measurement you provide; it cannot replace a tape measure.
DIY assembly,
when it suits you.
For supported Stretched and Framed configurations, a DIY kit supplies the painted canvas and the chosen assembly components. The product page applies the 20% DIY saving to the painting and finish subtotal.
The preview shows the assembled result. Confirm the included components and assembly requirements before choosing a kit. Shipping remains included. Optional import-duty coverage and applicable local taxes are separate.
Can I change the proportions?
A new aspect ratio may crop the composition or require the artist to extend the scene. For photo paintings you can select the supported center crop. More involved changes need agreement before payment.
What should I tell my local framer?
Give the visible artwork dimensions, your preferred stretching depth and any required unpainted or painted margin. Have the studio confirm this allowance in writing.
Is the frame preview an exact material sample?
It is a visualization. Frame texture, color and the apparent width can vary with the screen and lighting. Ask for a current frame photograph when the finish is important.
