The reference & brief
We review the source image, requested changes, canvas size and finish. A clear main reference helps avoid conflicting details.
Drawing & composition
The artist sets the proportions and the placement of the main forms before developing the painting.
Color & form
Oil colors are mixed and applied by hand. Light, shadows and relationships between shapes build the image.
Detail & character
Faces, edges, atmosphere and brushwork are refined according to the chosen style.
Your photo review
We photograph the actual canvas. You can request adjustments or approve the current finished version.
Drying, finishing & packing
The canvas is allowed the handling time needed for its paint surface, then prepared in your agreed finish and packed.

Ask for a whole-canvas photograph and useful detail views. An angled view can help show the surface. When arranging a progress update, tell us whether you want to see the composition stage or a closer view of the painting in progress.
Reference images and room mockups help planning. Finished-photo approval concerns the physical oil painting, and is recorded separately on your order.
Is my painting really painted by hand?
Yes. Our oil paintings are made with oil paint on canvas. The artist builds the work through drawing, mixed color and brushwork. You review photographs of your actual completed canvas before shipping. Room mockups and reference images are separate from those finished photographs.
Can you paint from my photograph?
Choose Paint My Photo for people, pets, houses and landscapes. Upload a clear main photo and any useful supporting references. Choose the subject count, background and optional photo combination to see your price, then order online. You can ask a question first if you prefer.
Will the painting look exactly like the reference?
The reference guides the subject and composition. A hand-painted interpretation has its own brushwork and small variations. Tell us which features, colors and details must remain recognizable; agree major changes before work begins.
Can I choose a custom size and frame?
Yes. Use the product’s size and finish options to compare available configurations. Enter custom dimensions in cm or inches. Very large canvases, unusual proportions or a frame beyond its making limit need confirmation before payment.
